Hey folks! This is Frank from Sit Happens Dog Training.

Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.

Today's question is:

"What are the first commands to teach my puppy?"

Answer

Okay. What are the first commands you should be teaching your puppy? Very simple. Come, sit, and down. And I always recommend using treats. It's called treat luring so that your puppy does want to do what you're asking him to do.

Summary

The first commands to teach a puppy are "come," "sit," and "down," utilizing treat luring, which involves using a treat and body movement to guide the puppy, for instance, causing their bottom to go down to teach "sit".
