Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
I do not believe in punishing your dog for any bad behaviors. I believe in correcting your dog to help your dog understand the behavior that they're doing is not acceptable. Okay? So, just what I said back in the crate training situation, it's it's correcting your dog. Uh-uh. Not a good behavior. And they respond to that. So, it's giving them deliberate and focused attention on those bad behaviors. And then when they do the good behavior, good boy, good girl. Okay. So, punishing a dog is only going to lead to more bad behaviors. It's corrective action. A right. and understanding the pack mentality of a dog. And I won't go into detail on that, but it's really helping your dog understand who the pack leader is in your pack. Whether it's just you by yourself or you have a family, the dog needs to understand where they rack and stack in the pack. Okay.
Frank Silva expressed his belief that dog owners should not punish their dogs for bad behaviors, but instead correct them. He explained that corrective action helps a dog understand what behavior is unacceptable and helps them understand their position within the "pack"
